Letter of honor of the Family Association

SINCE 2024, THE FAMILY ASSOCIATION HAS BEEN AWARDING RECOGNITION TO PEOPLE WITH THE LETTER OF HONOR WHO HAVE MADE A CONTRIBUTION TO CULTURAL LIFE. THIS AWARD IS DESIGNED TO CONTINUE A TRADITION THAT THE DE GRAEFF FAMILY AS PATRONS OF THE ARTS DURING THE DUTCH GOLDEN AGE. THESE INCLUDED IN PARTICULAR THE PAINTERS REMBRANDT, GOVAERT FLINCK, GERARD TER BORCH, JACOB VAN RUISDAEL, CASPAR NETSCHER, GERARD DE LAIRESSE, THE SCULPTOR ARTUS QUELLINUS AND THE POET JOOST VAN DEN VONDEL. THE RECOGNITION WILL BE PRESENTED BY MR MATTHIAS LAURENZ GRÄFF, IN HIS CAPACITY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE FAMILY ASSOCIATION AND AS AN ACADEMIC PAINTER.


Αυτό το βραβείο προορίζεται να συνεχίσει μια παράδοση που η οικογένεια ντε Γκρεφ (Graeff, De Graeff) πραγματοποίησε ως προστάτες των τεχνών κατά τη διάρκεια της Ολλανδικής Χρυσής Εποχής.

This award is given to Mrs Evelyn Wallner Papadopoulou because of her unifying work as Honorary Consul of Austria in Thessaloniki and as an artist. Gräff in the Austrian newspaper about the honorary consul: "Above all, the consul's cosmopolitan attitude and artistic sense show that a highly qualified and humanistic person is in the right place here."

  • EN: The Letter of honor is given to Mr Giorgos Vrontinos, artist and teacher from Litochoro at Mount Olympus. Mr Vrontinos receives this award because of his cultural activity as a painter and because of his "invaluable and tireless contribution" to the community, the cultural events of the municipality of Dion-Olympos.
